Welcome To Barton Salvation Army
Captains Nick & Anita Cotterill would like to welcome you to the website of Barton upon Humber Salvation Army. We hope that you are able to use the site to find information about the different activities that take place each week.
The building on the right of your screen is our current worship building in Queen Street. It was built in the 1860's as a primitive methodist chapel and over the years has had a number of major alterations to the interior and exterior. For the last fifty years or so it has been used by The Salvation Army as it's base in Barton Upon Humber but due to it's grade II listed status, it's lack of disable access and the fact that a lot of money needs to be spent on it to we find that we are are in the position where we need to find something more suited to The Salvation Army of the 21st century.
One day we will get the building that we need to continue and develop our church and community based activities but until that day comes we do not sit idly by. With God's help and guidance, we will take the corps forward spiritually and in the process hope to see new people come along to the things going on here.
This is an exciting time for the corps. It is not without it's challenges but we believe that this is a great community of God's people and whether you're on holiday or local to Barton Upon Humber why not come along one sunday and share in worship with us? You'll have a good time and be made to feel really welcome.
