Sally - Anna

Sally-Anna's was opened in May 1997 to provide a friendly meeting place where local people could relax over a snack and a cuppa, browse and purchase clothing and goods at affordable prices.

We are still doing that and over the years many people have become very regular customers who have shared their joys and woes with us.

The shop is manned entirely by volunteers and we engage in local events during the year. We stay open in the evening of the summer Bike Night when over 10,000 bikers descend on the town and also provide a welcoming, warm, bright environment for the november Christmas Festival.

We are a resource for Christain literature working with the Kings Christian Bookshop by stocking some of their material to sell in Barton, as well as stocking free leaflets of a Christan nature.

We accept clothing, household goods (excluding electrical and furniture), books and bric-a-brac to sell and we are constantly amazed at the generosity of the local people who give these to us.  The funds we raise go to the local Salavation Army which has an active Church presence in town.

Over the years we have been able to forge a link with a charity in Grimsby working for releif in the Ukraine (Ukraine Relief Aid) and monthly we restock are shop and pass on the old stock to them for ongoing fundraising.  Our unsold books are sent elsewhere for charity funding.  We are happy to do our bit for recycling and helping others in the process.    

PLEASE NOTE:   The shop will be closed from the 16th December2011 at 2pm and we will re-open on the 3rd January 2012 at 10am.    May we wish all our customers a very Happy Christmas and thank you all for your continued support.
